How to install NyxiaTV on Google TV
A step-by-step guide to installing and setting up NyxiaTV on Google TV and Chromecast with Google TV, then importing your first playlist.
Google TV devices — including the Chromecast with Google TV and many modern smart TVs — make a fantastic home for NyxiaTV. The interface is designed for the remote, navigation is fast, and once your playlist is imported everything stays neatly organized. This guide walks you through the whole process from a fresh device to your first stream.
Before you start
NyxiaTV is a media player only — it does not include any channels or content. To follow along you will need a few things ready:
- A Google TV device connected to your TV and to the internet.
- A free NyxiaTV account (you can create one during setup).
- Your own playlist details: either an M3U / M3U8 URL, or your Xtream Codes server URL, username and password from your provider.
- A stable connection — wired ethernet or strong 5 GHz Wi-Fi gives the smoothest playback.
Step 1: Install the app
- From the Google TV home screen, navigate to the Apps row or search.
- Search for “NyxiaTV”. If it is available in your region’s store, select it and choose Install.
- If you are sideloading the app package, enable installation from unknown sources for your file manager, transfer the package to the device, and open it to install.
- Once installed, select Open to launch NyxiaTV for the first time.
Step 2: Sign in to your account
On first launch, NyxiaTV will ask you to sign in. Enter the email and password for your NyxiaTV account, or create one if you have not already. Signing in is what lets your favorites, profiles and continue-watching position sync across every device on a Premium plan.
Step 3: Import your playlist
- Open the Playlists or Add Source screen from the main menu.
- Choose your source type: M3U URL, M3U file, or Xtream Codes login.
- For an M3U playlist, paste the full playlist URL. For Xtream Codes, enter your server URL, username and password exactly as your provider supplied them.
- Select Import. NyxiaTV will parse your channels, movies and series and organize them into categories automatically.
Step 4: Personalize your experience
With your library loaded, take a moment to set things up the way you like. Mark a few favorites so your most-watched channels are one click away, and if other people use the TV, create separate profiles so everyone keeps their own favorites and history. The built-in programme guide will show what is on now and next for sources that include EPG data.
Troubleshooting
- Playlist won’t load: double-check the URL or credentials for typos, and confirm your subscription is active with your provider.
- Buffering or stutter: switch to a 5 GHz network or wired connection, and close other bandwidth-heavy apps.
- App feels sluggish: restart the device to clear memory — budget TV sticks benefit from an occasional reboot.
That is it. Once your playlist is imported, NyxiaTV remembers it, so the next time you open the app you go straight to watching. Enjoy your upgraded Google TV experience.
